Biography of Heather Stack

Writer, Creative, Children’s Services Consultant, Change Strategist

I’m an independent children’s services consultant, working in England’s special educational needs, disability and social care sector.

In my spare time I am a writer eager to spend more time in creative ventures, to develop a few writing projects I have been working on these past few years, and launch into new areas of creativity. I am currently working on a narrative non-fiction novel, Belonging, Notes from a Small Life, and a collection of short stories and essays, as yet untitled.

The origins of Frontier News were, many years ago, to talk about current educational issues, which merged into wider subject matter, including exploring my own cancer journey, and issues that have mattered to me deeply and dearly.

This site is perhaps an eclectic mix of content, and I cannot honestly say that will change. I am keen to connect with an audience of like minded people, who recognise that life is fragile, and can sometimes go in unexpected directions, so that we find ourselves exploring new oceans, or else back where we once began.
